Clara Passarinho is an actress and director from Portugal. She’s finishing her master’s in Theatre Directing and interning at the Yokohama Theatre Group this summer. In 2023, Clara participated in Traditional Theater Training at Kyoto Art Center, Japan, with support from the GDA Foundation. She also won the competition for emerging directors promoted by Baal17, through which she later directed a theater performance about migration.

Beyond theater, Clara is also involved in European projects, having written and participated in over 10 mobility programs, fostering global collaborations. Currently, Clara Passarinho is a co-founder and project coordinator at the Associação da Minha Rua. Her commitment extends to democratic values, as evidenced by her role as an ambassador for the Festival Política in 2023. Additionally, she was part of the “Pop the Vote” program promoted by the European Parliament as a changemaker, where she conducted workshops to raise awareness about the European elections through art.
