Jannah Roovers is a theatre director and teacher currently studying at the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) in the Netherlands. She previously trained as an actor and still occasionally returns to performing, though her true passion lies in conceptualising and creating theatre.

Her work is inspired by strong women, from both past and present, and she often explores myths and folklore, reflecting them through the lens of contemporary experiences. Jannah mostly works autobiographically, inviting anyone who wishes to share their story to do so in whatever form feels most natural: movement, text, poetry, spoken word, dance, or something entirely different. For her, any medium can be used to tell a story that needs to be heard.

Central to her process is the creation of a safe and supportive group dynamic. She often dedicates significant time to building trust and connection within the team, drawing on techniques from intimacy coordination to foster a creative environment where everyone feels safe and seen. She believes that only in such a space can creativity truly flourish.

As part of the YTG artistic team, Jannah is responsible for choreography and movement-based work, which she devises collaboratively with the ensemble.

ヤナは、演出家・演劇教育者であり、現在オランダのユトレヒト芸術大学（HKU）で学んでいる。俳優としての訓練を受けた経歴も持ち、今でも時折舞台に立つことはあるが、彼女の真の情熱は、演劇を構想し、創り上げることにある。

彼女の作品は、過去と現在を問わず「強い女性たち」からインスピレーションを得ており、神話や民話などを現代の経験を通して映し出すことが多い。作品の多くは自伝的要素を含み、動き、テキスト、詩、スポークンワード、ダンス、あるいは全く別の表現形式など、自然に語れる形で誰もが自身の物語を共有できるよう招いている。彼女にとって、物語が必要とされているなら、どんなメディアでも語る手段になり得るのだ。

創作の中心には、安心感と信頼に満ちたグループダイナミクスの構築がある。チーム内でのつながりと信頼関係を築くために多くの時間を費やし、インティマシー・コーディネーションの技術も活用しながら、全員が安全で、見守られていると感じられる創作環境を大切にしている。そのような空間でこそ、真の創造性が花開くと彼女は信じている。

YTGのアーティスティックチームの一員として、ヤナは振付および身体表現を担当しており、これらはアンサンブルと共に共同で創作している。
