I Speak in the Halls of Power
YTG Spring Showcase
We’ve spent the spring creating scenes from a story inspired by a poem by Andrew Woolner. We’ve been wrestling with the question of “what happens to a good person and those around them when they’re given power?” Join us for an evening of theatre and conversation: we’ll present the scenes we’ve been working on in whatever form they currently exist in (we may even sometimes stop and describe missing elements) and ask for your feedback, questions, and ideas. It’s a chance for you to see behind the curtain on how our collectively created shows are made. Showcases like this one are a key part of YTG’s show generation process, and we welcome you to be a part of this key stage of show development.
この春、私たちはアンドリュー・ウールナーの詩に着想を得た物語からシーンを創作しました。
「善良な人が権力を手にしたとき、その人や周囲の人々に何が起こるのか？」という問いと向き合いながら作品づくりを進めました。
演劇と対話のひとときにご参加いただき、ありがとうございました。私たちは当時取り組んでいたシーンを、その時点での形のまま上演しました（場合によっては途中で止めて、まだ形になっていない要素について説明することもありました）。その上で、皆さまからのご意見、ご質問、アイデアを伺いました。
これは、YTGがどのようにして共同創作による作品を生み出しているのか、その舞台裏をご覧いただける機会でもありました。このようなショーケースは、YTGの作品創作プロセスにおいて重要な役割を担っており、作品開発の大切な段階にご参加いただけたことに感謝しています。
