Jim O’Connor is an American actor who trained and worked in New York City for 25 years. After arriving in Tokyo 5 years ago, he was surprised to find a vibrant English speaking theater community.

Hamlet marks his third collaboration with StagePlay and his first with YTG.

In addition to appearing onstage in Japan, most recently Sheepdog’s production of ART, Jim also teaches Method acting here in Tokyo.

ジム・オコナーは、ニューヨークで25年にわたり研鑽と活動を重ねてきたアメリカ人俳優である。5年前に東京へ拠点を移して以来、英語で活動する活発な演劇コミュニティの存在に驚かされた。

本作『ハムレット』は、StagePlayとの3度目のコラボレーションとなる。日本では舞台出演に加え、直近ではSheepdog Theatreの『ART』に出演。また、東京でメソッド演技の指導も行っている。
