Anna Murray is a mixed-media composer and artist from Ireland and currently based in Tokyo. She has a particular interest in language and text-based composition, as well as graphic and open scores combined with live electronics. Her current work revolves around an examination of music and meaning, particularly focused on a study of Japanese Noh theatre. In 2019 she was awarded the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship to attend Tokyo University of the Arts as a research student, where she is studying Noh with Takeda Takashi. In 2020 she has released two albums of electronic music, Rndr II and These Are the First Words I’ve Spoken, with a third, City Shadows, to be released on the Takuroku label in January.

Anna composed the music and designed the sounds for The Peony Lantern and Wuthering Heights. She was the composer of the music for Bereginya as well.

Anna Murray はアイルランド出身のミクストメディア・コンポーザー兼アーティストであり、今は東京を拠点として活動している。言語や文章を用いた作曲に力を入れていて、生演奏の電子楽器を合わせたグラフィックやオープンスコアにも興味を持つ。現在携わっている仕事として、音楽とその意味の分析を交えて、日本の伝統芸能である「能」の研究をしている。2019年には、日本政府から MEXT 奨学金を授与され、東京藝術大学の研究生として武田孝史教授の下で「能」の研究に励んでいる。2020年にはエレクトロニック音楽のアルバム、『Rndr II』と
『These Are the First Words I’ve Spoken』を発表し、今年の1月にはレーベル「Takuroku」で自身の3作目となる『City Shadows』をリリースしている。

前作『嵐ヶ丘』に引き続き、今作でも音楽・音響の全てを担当している。
