Juri Ito served as Assistant Artistic Director of YTG from 2018 to 2019, where she also directed the production of Antigone.
Raised in both Japan and the US, Juri brings her bicultural background to her role as a dramaturg, offering expertise in historical research, cultural nuances, and translation for theatrical productions.
Her journey through the realms of devising, dramaturgy, and drama led her to discover a passion for intimacy direction. In the summer of 2023, she became Japan’s first certified Intimacy Director after training with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators in New York City.
