A bilingual MBA-holder with a somewhat contrary love-hate relationship with suits, John has spent years trying to carve out a unique flavor of existence since initially coming to Japan in 2002. Since then, he’s become wise enough to make the move out of Tokyo to Yokohama, where he believes Happiness incarnate must live. Today, he reports for NPR (npr.org) from Japan, works on bilingual communication projects of varying scopes and scales, translates documents of all sorts, and occasionally even pops onto Japanese television programs playing the role of a journalist. John brings his bilingual talents to bear in support of YTG’s management and operations as a member of its Board of Directors.
